Who We Are
Tylee Jones is a queer POC Contemporary dance artist and voguer born in Toronto Canada and is currently based in London England. He discovered his passion for dance at the age of Sixteen and found his love for modern and contemporary dance which then lead him to the School of Toronto Dance Theatre where he graduated from their Professional training program back in 2017. He currently holds a Masters's degree (MA) in contemporary dance from the London contemporary dance school. And has worked with many renowned choreographers from all over North America, United Kingdom, and Europe some of which are Christopher House, Apolonia Velasquez, Allen Kaeja, Paul Andre Fortier, Robert Glumbek, and Hagit Yakira, Jorge Crecis, and Fabio Liberti. Most recently has toured internationally with Edge Dance Company in 2019 and has performed in Canada, the USA, Finland, Portugal, Austria, and all over the UK where he now resides. Tylee is an award-winning choreographer and was one of the recipients of the Winchester Street Prize award. As well as being nominated for a Dora award for outstanding performance in 2018. Other than being a contemporary dance artist he is also a Freelance makeup artist and queer activist.
